Earlier today (9/12/25), we received what appears to be a screenshot of an Auburn Career Center employee celebrating the tragic assassination of political commentator Charlie Kirk through a post from the employee’s personal social media account. When we became aware of this situation, I immediately placed the employee on administrative leave and prohibited the employee from doing any work for Auburn Career Center pending a thorough investigation into this matter.
We have received numerous messages from community members expressing alarm and outrage related to this social media post, and we want to assure you that we take this very seriously. This alleged behavior does not represent Auburn Career Center, our mission, or our values. We strongly condemn not only the appalling assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10, but also the idea that anyone would celebrate the death of another human being. As an educational institution charged with fostering a safe and respectful learning environment, violence and hate are fundamentally incompatible with our mission and will not be tolerated.
We appreciate our community bringing this matter to our attention and we share in your concern. Thank you for your continued support as we work through this situation with care and diligence.
Sincerely,
Dr. Joe Glavan, Superintendent

Sabrina Davidson Elected SkillsUSA Regional Officer
“Auburn has helped me achieve my goals in many ways. I genuinely don't believe I’d be in the same position I am today if I did not make the step and go to Auburn. Auburn has helped me gain so many connections I would have not been able to get if I were by myself.”
